Botfound – Privacy Policy

Botfound ("the app") helps Shopify merchants check and improve how AI shopping agents see their catalog. This policy explains what the app collects when a merchant installs it.

What we collect

• Store and session data: your shop domain and the access token Shopify issues when you install the app.
• Product data: product titles, descriptions, types, vendors, tags, categories, metafields, images, variants and barcodes, used to calculate your Readiness Score and to apply the fix rules you choose.
• Change history: the previous and new value of every field a fix rule changes, so the run can be undone.
• Search tests and discovery checks: the test queries you save, the products you pin, and the results of searching your public storefront and fetching its public discovery files.

What we don't collect

The app does not read or store customer or order data. It never sells or shares merchant data with third parties.

How data is used and stored

Data is used only to provide the app's features. It is stored in our hosted database and processed by our hosting provider.

Retention and deletion

When you uninstall the app, we delete all data we hold for your store. We also honour Shopify's shop/redact request.
